ABOUT THE DAMF
forged in support of veterans.
The Detroit Area Marines Foundation was founded in 2009 to support Marine Corps Unit MWSS 471 Det. B, located in Southeast Michigan. We're a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization; all donations are tax-deductible.
In 2022, we expanded our mission to include support for local veteran groups and nonprofits that align with the D.A.M.'s goals of supporting local servicemembers and their families.
Utilizing fundraisers such as the Annual Golf Outing and Gun Raffle, we can assist local military members, past and present, in times of need.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
COLLABORATION
Our board members work hand-in-hand with local leaders and other veteran nonprofits to ensure that our efforts are utilized as efficiently as possible.
PASSION & COMMITTMENT
Community involvement is at the forefront of our mission, and we strive to ensure that our support of military ceremonies and traditions inspires future generations of military members while honoring prior service and retired servicemembers.
Our board members and volunteers are passionate about our cause and dedicated to positively impacting the local veteran community. We're committed to upholding our values of integrity, collaboration, and transparency.
